As Jenny Gome said “How good is it to be in a room of professional women who are passionate about sales, discussing the opportunities and challenges in our industries?”
Barrett’s Sell Like A Woman Program launch event was held online on 1st of December 2022 and to celebrate the launch, we heard from four women with outstanding careers in sales, business, and leadership. They included Jenny Gome, former Sales Executive Leader at ARPA AMCOS now Partnerships and New Business Development Manager at Barrett, Andrea McNaughton, Managing Director of Loan Market, and Lynne Gallucci, Executive General Manager of InvoCare – Australian Funerals.
It was a wonderful opportunity to launch a great initiative to develop the sales industry and to give women agency.
A balance of evidence base, statistical research mixed with industry insights from the speakers who could illuminate through their experiences the power of women in sales and sales leadership.

We explored a wide range of topics from what do we love about sales, how we got our start in a sales career to if sales has an image problem with women, the challenges and biases women face and, how businesses, clients, and communities can benefit from having more women in sales and leadership roles.
We discussed what a great career sales is for everyone, especially women, and how to build our career pathways and overcoming the challenges that can hold us back.
As Andrea said the numbers don’t lie. If you want more and better sales, get more women into sales roles.
Society and the sales profession are changing for the better. People want more respectful, inclusive, and collaborative ways of selling and doing business.
Gender diversity in sales and leadership is not just about equality and social justice, in today’s world, it is also about better sales and business performance, great reputations, loyal clients, healthier cultures and fairer, more prosperous communities.
For me, Sell Like A Woman is a professional expression of many years of advocacy for equality, integrity, respect, and justice.
There’s no better time to recognise and benefit from the contributions of women in sales and leadership.
The evidence is clear, mastering ethical human-centred sales practices gives women more agency and power over their careers, earning capacity and life choices.
Channelling more women into sales and leadership roles at every level–and celebrating the value they bring to the table–simply makes good business sense.
Level 1 is focused on Mastering the Sales Essentials system and is designed for women new to sales or for those women who haven’t had any form of effective sales training to ignite, and turbo charge their sales and careers.
Level 2 is called Navigate your way forward and is designed for women who already know how to sell and master the sales essentials. This program examines and addresses the opportunities, barriers, and biases for women in sales and business. It is designed to help women develop the skills, tools, and strategies necessary to channel our sales ambition and getting traction, have a legitimate seat at the table, debunk barriers and biases, and navigate our sales and business career successfully and safely.
Level 3 is designed for leaders who want to create flourishing teams and cultures. This program helps business and sales leaders develop environments that attract more women to their teams and create sales cultures that embrace diversity and empower women in sales and sales leadership.

Testimonial
“The change has been outstanding. Two years ago I couldn’t have imagined that Sales would be in such great shape already. I thought it would’ve taken years but here we are now with a fantastic sales team, sales infrastructure and processes, strategy and culture that is growing and making a huge difference to our business and our clients. As an accountant, I knew very little about sales but Barrett’s Sales Strategy & Operations Framework and the Barrett team have steered us in the right direction.”
