"The Barrett process educated and empowered me to take action to get out there and educate the market and secure sponsorships. I was able to tap into the potential I already had and this helped me have the confidence to get out there and give it ago." - Paralympian and VIS Scholarship Holder, Don Elgin

Community involvement |
|
We are guided by our belief in 'excellence through purposeful action' by contributing to the community and network groups through public speaking and consulting services. Our involvement is aimed at helping illuminate topics for people and give insight into better work and personal practices around sustainable selling, resilience, people management, leadership, and emotional well-being. In particular, Sue Barrett is passionate about helping women in the community and business.
Here are some examples of communities and networks that the team at Barrett has supported through working with skills, knowledge and purposeful action.

Proudly associated with the Victorian Institute of Sport since 1991
Our aim is to help athletes promote themselves effectively and earn what they are worth beyond the track, field or pool. The world of corporate sponsorship is very different from elite sports and although most athletes take to it quickly, they have to learn new skills such as effective self-promotion, how to access corporations and negotiate with a strong sense of their own value.
