Our Training Philosophy
Our programs are generally implemented over a period of time using the Interval Training approach to facilitate behavioural change and skill development. This not only ensures that transfer of learning takes place but also gives participants an opportunity to apply new skills and knowledge in real life situations and discuss the outcomes on a regular basis, either one on one or in group sessions, in a safe and supportive environment.
BARRETT's training methodology is to introduce relevant content that is linked ot behaviour change, knowledege and skill transfer enabling all participants to apply new skills, knowledge and behaviours in the workplace before attempting additional learning.
BARRETT uses "best practice" techniques/methodologies such as Interval Training, Discovery Learning and Adult Learning Techniques in all our programs which are implemented over a period of time to facilitate behavioural change and skill development. This approach progresses in incremental stages and helps to maintain a focus on manageable tasks and ensures that earlier stages are successful before the later stages are attempted and uses documentation of requirements, sign-offs and quality control that defines objective measures for assessing quality throughout the development process.
Best results are achieved when BARRETT work directly with Managers and team member as we bring subject matter expertise to the equation. As such, our training roll out strategy reflects where we believe we will add the best value to the your organisation.
Discovery Learning
Our workshops are all based on the principles of Discovery Learning, which results from an interactive environment where information is given, principles are practiced, questions are asked and real-life situations are created to enable people to learn for themselves.
It is based on the premise that people are more apt to learn, believe and act upon what they discover for themselves than merely intellectualising what is said to them. The training sessions of BARRETT are structured so people internalise principles 'discovered' and practiced during the course and then reinforce the principles by applying them to real life situations.
