Sue Barrett launched her own business in 1995 after holding senior positions with a leading consultancy and recruitment company. "In 1995 I started my business because I was frustrated seeing capable people going to waste in a one-size-fits-all approach to sales. Most people's efforts to increase sales are faddish or haphazard, following no logical process when strategising, selling, training or recruiting. This doesn't make them money, it costs them money."
Within two years, Sue's business won the Telstra & Victorian Government Small Business Award and is best known for its work in creating High Performing Sales Teams and have developed a unique position in the market place with IP specifically in the Australian Sales Competency space. However Sue and her team do more than that. Applying the latest research and market findings in sales, service, management, team work and leadership they integrate a variety of assessment protocols including emotional intelligence (EI) with skill, knowledge, behaviour, values, process and strategy. Sue and her team share in common the desire to help people grow and be successful through greater self-awareness, understanding and purposeful action. Key to their success is working with the whole person to develop their potential to engage in productive work relationships with the bigger picture in mind.
Sue is a dynamic speaker, an energetic presence and has established a credible public speaking and business profile . known for her no nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is, often humorous approach, she stands out from the usual crowd of existing business commentators. Sue's achievements stem from her ability to demystify the practices around achieving increased sales results and better workplace relationships with many individuals and organisations across the business spectrum including SME's & corporates. Within two years, Sue's business won the Telstra & Victorian Government Small Business Award. Sue was also a finalist in the 1998 and 2001 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards and was inducted into the Business Women's Hall of Fame in 2000.
